My Horse’s Butt Needs Help!

I admit it, I look at horses’ butts. More specifically, their tails. Because I have tail envy. My draft cross has an enormous butt, bisected by a threadbare little tail which makes it look like he’s wearing a thong. Butt floss on a Clyde cross? Not pretty. So, I have begun a campaign this year to improve the quality (read: hairs per square inch) of his tail. I’ve taken the usual causes for tail rubbing precautions (worming, etc.) and now am prepared to step up my game. Whenever I can remember, I’m applying MTG and brushing out the tail. I understand that some horses are sensitive to the sulfates or whatever in this product (it certainly smells bad), but other horse owners swear by it. So, any helpful advice out there you’re willing to impart, I’m all ears. I’ll keep you posted on the progress.
