My hairy pony has completely shed out from his wooly winter coat, except for in one spot. He’s sporting some long hairs that refuse to shed on the tip of his butt, on the “hunter bump.” When the hairs are standing straight up, as they often are, he looks like he’s moussed them into a mohawk or other hipster hair style. I’m just wondering if there’s some biological reason for this? Or just old age. Hey, how many of us post- “middle agers” haven’t been surprised by hair suddenly appearing in strange places? 🙂
