Recently I contacted a woman who custom-makes saddle covers. She measures the saddle and talks to you at length about what colors and designs and fabrics you prefer. She takes her service very seriously and does an amazing job. I told her my favorite color was green, the dark earthy variety. I told her I liked traditional patterns, natural versus geometric, and love a rich brocade. She went to the fabric store and spent untold hours pulling down bolts of fabric looking for what would suit me (bless her). This is what she came up with, and I love it, and I am grateful that it will protect my saddle and make me smile whenever I pull it out.
