No, this is not an image of an ancient mummy’s hand, but rather my winter work gloves. Since the fall, I’ve worn these doing chores in the barn. They’ve kept me (relatively) warm through stall mucking, feeding, hay stacking and fence fixing. Looking at them now, on the cusp of spring, I don’t think they’ll survive another season. I only shudder to think what my hands would have looked like without them. Good-bye winter!
