What to Do With All Those Ribbons?

RibbonQuilt2I have a box of old horse show ribbons. I bet some of you do, too. Even more are hanging in my daughters room as dust collectors. Some are fading in the barn, covered with fly dirt. Recently, I discovered a beautiful and artistic use for them (as I knew there would be!). If you google “show ribbon quilt” or check out the many pictures on Pinterest you will be astounded at the creativity and beauty of some of these quilts made from old show ribbons. Many have incorporated pictures of the horse, the rosettes as a trail of flowers, the stripes and patterns of the ribbons forming all manner of geometric designs. Beautiful! Now, if only I could sew…RibbonQuilt
